Financial Controller Location: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Employment Type: Full-time Seniority Level: Mid‑Senior Industry: Real Estate, Construction, and Building Construction We are partnering with a well‑respected private residential developer across Victoria. We seek an experienced Financial Controller or Finance Manager to oversee all financial aspects of our portfolio. The role reports to the CFO and requires a strategic thinker with strong real‑estate & property finance expertise. Responsibilities Financial Reporting and Auditing – ensure compliance with regulations and standards, working with internal and external accountants. Project Financial Management – budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, project and variation analysis, feasibility studies. Cash Flow and Treasury Management – oversee funding requirements, ensure liquidity across projects, manage financial risk. Process Involvement & Strategic Support – implement processes and internal controls, support decision making, business recommendations. Finance Team Leadership – support and manage the internal Project and Financial Accounting Team, and mentor junior members. Key Requirements CPA / CA qualified with ideally 8+ years of experience in financial control, accounting or related roles within real‑estate finance, investment or property development. Strong expertise in financial modelling, project financials and cash flow management, funds management and/or capital raising. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools. Benefits Autonomy to shape a newly created role.
