The Opportunity We are seeking an exceptional senior Communications Lead (8–16 hours/week, flexible) to develop our investor voice and create a bridge between our impact and our audience. This is a writing-first, communications-focused role. You will lead the development of our external narrative while supporting the CEO and investment team in packaging their research into clear, authoritative and engaging content for sophisticated audiences. Your words will be the firm’s most visible asset: investor updates, raise materials, thought-leadership pieces, newsletter and website content will fall under your remit. Your ability to translate complex science, technology and investment theses into compelling prose will directly drive engagement and the deepening of our relationships with aligned stakeholders. Location: At least half your hours in our Sydney CBD office (Tuesday or Thursday). You Are Intellectually curious with genuine optimism about the transition to an environmentally sustainable economy An outstanding writer who has produced respected public and investor-facing works such as newsletters, essays, reports, Substack, LinkedIn thought leadership, etc. Comfortable supporting investment professionals by stress-testing ideas, synthesising research and turning technical depth into accessible narrative 5+ years in research-driven communications or thought leadership within early-stage investment, environment, technology or impact investing Familiarity with early-stage investment markets and the finance industry Honest, self-directed, fast-moving and collaborative Passionate about the environment, profit-with-purpose investing and the power of innovation Key Responsibilities Lead all investor and public-facing communications Support the CEO and investment team by conducting supplementary research, refining theses and packaging insights Finalise copy and content for investor updates, investor decks, thought-leadership pieces and media releases Own our website content, newsletter strategy and LinkedIn presence Translate complex technical, scientific and financial concepts into clear, optimistic, jargon-free prose Collaborate closely with the investment team to ensure accuracy of narrative and impact Ensure all materials comply with financial regulatory and disclosure standards Experience & Qualifications 5+ years in research-driven communications or thought leadership within early-stage investment, environment, technology or impact investing Proven ability to craft writing that can engage sophisticated audiences Track record of turning rigorous, technical analysis into inspiring, accessible narrative Bachelor’s degree or higher (field flexible if experience is directly relevant) Exceptional attention to detail and personal accountability This is a rare opportunity for an inspired author who seeking to influence opinion and drive positive change.
