LET’S EXPLORE THE ROLE Lead Australia's Mission-Critical Public Safety Network BAI is seeking an exceptional executive to lead the operations and strategic growth of the NSW Public Safety Network – a 700+ site P25 radio network that keeps communities safe 24/7/365.> This isn't just another telecom leadership role. You'll be: Commanding real impact – Your decisions directly protect emergency responders and the communities they serve during bushfires, floods, and major incidents Leading diverse, high-performing teams – Direct a multidisciplinary organisation spanning technical experts, frontline network operators and business development specialists Leading at scale – Full P&L accountability with a pathway to expand nationally Shaping the future – Position BAI as the partner of choice for state governments looking to modernise critical communications infrastructure Building something replicable – Create operating models and capabilities that will deploy across Australia What You’ll Lead Operational Excellence : Maintain >99.99% network availability across mission‑critical infrastructure supporting Police, Fire, Ambulance, SES, and RFS Team Leadership : Lead a team of high‑calibre experts including engineers, 24/7 NOC operators and commercial managers Crisis Leadership : Take command during natural disasters and major incidents, coordinating your team and emergency response efforts with state agencies Strategic Growth : Drive contract renewals and position BAI for the future Capability Building : Develop specialised P25/broadband expertise and scalable frameworks for national expansion Your Background You bring deep expertise in public safety communications, 24x7 NOC environments, and government stakeholder management , with a proven track record of: Leading cross‑functional teams and developing talent Delivering excellence in telecommunications/critical communications Managing mission‑critical technology experience Executive‑level relationship management with state/federal agencies Why This Matters Australia needs resilient, modern critical communications infrastructure.
