As an Associate, Policy, you will undertake policy and project work that informs decision-making, facilitates service delivery reforms, and supports major initiatives across government. You will develop and review Cabinet proposals, prepare advice for senior leaders, and liaise with stakeholders across the public sector. The role provides an opportunity to influence policy outcomes and work on projects with lasting impact. You will join a collaborative and fast-paced team within the Economic, Housing and Infrastructure Policy Group, contributing to housing policy priorities. Qualifications & Experience Policy Development and Analysis: Experience in all stages of the policy process, including research, development, review, and evaluation, preferably with demonstrated success in influencing policy outcomes. Qualifications and Experience: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g., public policy, economics, social sciences) or equivalent professional experience in a policy or project environment. Project and Service Delivery Reform: Experience in developing, implementing, or managing strategic initiatives, service delivery reforms, or interagency projects. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare high-quality briefs, reports, and correspondence for senior decision-makers. Stakeholder Engagement: Proven capability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and external partners. Problem-Solving and Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyse complex issues, interpret evidence, and provide practical, evidence-based recommendations. Adaptability and Initiative: Capacity to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
