Environmental / GHG Advisor – Perth | Major Oil & Gas Operator Zenith Energy is a Well Engineering Consultancy and Project Management company providing specialist services to the Oil and Gas Industry across the full well lifecycle. The company, headquartered in Aberdeen with its Asia Pacific offices in Perth, Western Australia. Location Perth CBD Department HSE Position Long Term Contract (Multiple-Year) The Opportunity As an Environmental / GHG Advisor, you will provide specialist environmental support across major offshore development activities, ensuring full compliance with internal policies and government regulatory requirements. You will work closely with project teams, regulators, and stakeholders to help shape environmental strategy and governance during active project development. This role offers the ability to influence environmental performance and assurance across high-profile assets while contributing to the evolution of integrated HSE systems and greenhouse gas management processes. Key Responsibilities Project & Environmental Support Act as an active member of the HSE project team for major development activities. Support the development of environmental strategies, documents, approvals, and monitoring programs. Contribute to the development and implementation of environmental components of the HSE Integrated Management System (ISO 14001). Assist in delivery of stakeholder consultation plans and maintain associated databases. Support internal and regulatory reporting obligations, including monitoring, inspections, audits, and investigations. Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Management Support the implementation of GHG management processes and assess impacts to projects and operations. Administer GHG forecasting and reporting requirements (internal & external). Regulatory Approvals & Compliance Prepare and maintain environmental approvals and documentation (EIS, EPBC referrals, Environmental Plans, oil spill contingency plans). Provide advice and assurance on compliance with environmental regulatory requirements. Manage and participate in environmental risk assessments (ENVIDs, EIAs, etc.) and prepare technical reports. Liaise with regulators and government departments to facilitate environmental approvals. Project Execution Support Support procurement processes to ensure environmental compliance in tender evaluations. Prepare and deliver environmental training/inductions. Participate in environmental audits, reviews, inspections, and investigations. Participate in Oil Spill Response activities as required. About You – Qualifications & Experience Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or related discipline. 5–7+ years’ experience in environmental management within the resources or energy industry. ISO 14001 Lead Auditor (or willingness to obtain). Demonstrated experience preparing and implementing Environmental Plans and managing approvals. Background in environmental monitoring and environmental impact assessment. Ability to obtain MSIC and TBOSIET. Key Skills & Competencies Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong time management and ability to prioritise effectively. High-quality report writing and documentation skills. Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary project teams. Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Working Requirements Ability to pass a pre-employment medical.
