The Narromine United Services Memorial Club Ltd, located in the heart of Narromine, NSW, is a welcoming community hub known for its relaxed atmosphere and quality hospitality. At the centre of its offering is the popular Flight Deck Restaurant, which serves a well‑rounded menu of modern Australian cuisine. Guests can enjoy hearty classics such as grilled steaks, lamb cutlets, seafood platters, pizzas, and fresh seasonal salads, with both lunch and dinner services available throughout the week. The bistro caters to a wide audience with family‑friendly dining spaces, takeaway options, and a dedicated function area upstairs, making it a versatile venue for both casual meals and larger gatherings. The club’s commitment to friendly service and consistency has made it a favourite among locals and visitors alike. To be considered for the role you need to have a relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or at least 1‑3 years’ experience in a similar position. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Must display excellent prep, cooking and plating skills Strong emphasis on quality and consistency of dishes Demonstrate a keen Interest in growing food trends and techniques Ability to contribute to menu planning, food cost estimation and food cost control Work with the management team on food preparation and seasonal menu planning Stock ordering Labour cost control and assist the owners with rostering A sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and WHS and able to explain and enforce Immaculate presentation and grooming Ability to handle large service numbers Above average customer care and service skills Must be able to train our junior team on cooking techniques and procedures Assist with staff hiring and training Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies Discuss customer requirements and request with the frost on house team Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation. YOU MUST BE Available nights, weekends and school holidays.
