Overview Sales Consultant – Health Insurance at Canstar. Full-time | Hybrid role | Brisbane or Sydney. Competitive base salary + generous performance incentives. You’ll help Australians choose health insurance that best suits their needs, acting as a trusted advisor with clear, accurate information and a positive customer experience. What You’ll Be Doing Engage with prospective customers via inbound and outbound calls to understand their health insurance needs. Present and explain health insurance policy options clearly, including waiting periods, exclusions, limits, and tiers. Achieve and exceed monthly sales and conversion targets. Adhere to Canstar’s sales processes, compliance standards, and the PHIIA Code of Conduct. Keep accurate records in the CRM and ensure all interactions meet quality standards. Contribute positively to a high-performance, team-oriented culture. What We’re Looking For 1-2 years of experience in sales (health insurance preferred) with a proven track record of exceeding targets through a customer-first approach. Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify complex information with empathy and patience. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment. Desire to continuously learn and stay informed of changes to private health insurance products. Desirable skills Experience in health insurance sales or financial product sales. Knowledge of the Private Health Insurance sector and PHIIA Code of Conduct. Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes. Interest in building a career in financial services and health insurance sales. Why Join Us?
