Qualifications & Work Experience Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying or above qualification Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience Skills & Requirements Proficient in reading and interpreting building plans and specifications. In-depth knowledge of a wide range of bricklaying techniques and materials. Skilled in the safe, efficient, and proper use of bricklaying tools & equipment. Demonstrates strong attention to detail and takes pride in producing high-quality workmanship. Thorough understanding of workplace health & safety standards and procedures. Capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Job responsibilities Build and repair walls, partitions, arches, fireplaces, chimneys, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, stone, and similar materials. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project layout and required materials. Measure, align, and cut bricks or blocks to precise dimensions using both hand and power tools. Prepare and apply mortar, ensuring consistent quality and compliance with building standards. Verify vertical and horizontal alignment with levels, plumb bobs, and string lines. Perform repairs and maintenance on existing brickwork and masonry structures. Work safely and efficiently on scaffolding, ladders, and other elevated platforms. Keep the work area clean, organised, and compliant with all site safety regulations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
