About the role We are seeking a full-time ongoing Precast Factory Leading Hand to join our growing team at our new facility in Ormeau, QLD. You will be responsible for the manufacture of precast products in accordance with the plans and specifications. Qualifications, skills & experience Relevant trade experience. Hazard identification/awareness. Forklift licence (preferred). Responsibilities To lead a small team of Precast Operators as directed by the Foreman, Supervisor or Precast Manager. To plan, organise and instruct Precast Operators in the correct work methods to carry out the tasks allotted to their work teams, and where possible, to eliminate wastage. To ensure the required quality is achieved on the components being produced and have sufficient knowledge to carry out the task at hand. To ensure safe work practices are being met. To ensure all equipment, tools and hand tools are stored in the required position inside the factory at the end of each day. To ensure that any lost, broken or defective tools or equipment are isolated (if required) and are brought to the attention of the Precast Manager. To work in a safe manner and be aware of the safety of workmates. Concrete repair and general duties.
