Maintenance - Engineering Services Tradesperson - (7on 7off) - 4th Shift

Primary Objective To perform skilled maintenance, repair, and installation of plant and equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous operations across the site. The role supports the Engineering Services team by delivering high‑quality technical work, contributing to asset reliability, and mentoring junior staff such as Trades Assistants. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on mechanical, electrical, or multi‑trade equipment to minimise production downtime. Troubleshoot faults across a range of industrial machinery and utilities, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Perform fabrication, welding, fitting, and/or electrical tasks as required, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Complete all maintenance documentation, including work orders and shift reports, with accurate detail in the maintenance system. Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new or modified plant and equipment. Liaise with production and operations teams to coordinate maintenance tasks with minimal disruption to workflow. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are used and stored correctly. Support compliance with HACCP, GMP, and OH&S standards in all work carried out. Identify recurring issues and contribute to continuous improvement by recommending preventative measures or design modifications. Monitor spare parts usage and report low stock levels or ordering needs to the supervisor. Mentor and support Trades Assistants and apprentices, sharing technical knowledge and reinforcing safe work practices. Attend toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training sessions as required. Participate in audits, shutdowns, and special projects under the direction of the Engineering Services Supervisor or Manager. Perform other duties within the scope of the role as directed, ensuring flexibility to meet business needs.
