About the role Are you a highly motivated and skilled Registered Nurse, who has had previous management experience and is ready to undertake this key leadership role? Knox Private is seeking a Hospital Coordinator to join our team on a Permanent Part time basis 4 days a week. Your clinical skills, excellent leadership capabilities, and positive approach to work will ensure your success in this role. About us Knox Private Hospital is one of the largest private hospitals in Victoria, caring for over 1.2 million people across Melbourne's east and outer east. This Hospital is a fully accredited tertiary facility with 334 beds, providing Emergency Services, Extensive Surgical Specialities, 14 bed ICU, 17 bed CCU, Medical, and a full range of Cardiac Services including two 24-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories. The largest and most established private hospital in the eastern region of Victoria, Knox Private Hospital specialises in diagnostic, elective and emergency cardiovascular care, including open heart surgery, 24/7. Utilising the latest technology and expertise, we offer a Cardiology Centre, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology and more. Our expert care team of surgeons, specialist doctors dedicated nurses and other professionals will ensure that your experience is the best it can be. Responsibilities Supervise safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards Support and liaise with the respective Nurse Unit Manager(s) of wards and Departments Assist with coordination of staffing Manage patient flow, coordinate and plan operational processes Coordinate patient admissions and provide discharge planning support Support the hospital's commitment to quality improvement, National Safety and maintain the safety of staff, patients and visitors Qualifications Minimum 5 years working as a Registered Nurse Current unrestricted AHPRA registration Ability to manage competing demands and co‑ordinate resources appropriately Advanced interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills Effective analytical and problem‑solving skills Recent experience in bed management and/or patient flow Demonstrated experience with the coordination and allocation of staff High degree of computer literacy including MS Office Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Leadership skills including mentorship and coaching of team members Why Healthscope?
