Male Italian Speaking Social Support Volunteer-Aged Care Facility As part of the federally funded Community Visiting Scheme, compassionate, caring and friendly volunteers are needed to visit and provide social support to an elderly resident who lives in an aged care facility in the Drummoyne Area. The role is purely about social interaction, connection and conversation to bring joy and pleasure to the resident. A commitment of at least 1 hour a fortnight is required on an ongoing basis to develop rapport and trust between the volunteer and the resident. The role is flexible with no set time or day; a fortnightly visit is sufficient. Individuals who are willing to give a little of their time in conversation, who are reliable, patient, compassionate and have a positive attitude for life are encouraged to apply.
