Your role at St John of God Ballarat We are seeking applications for a Dietitian (Grade 1 to 2) to join our Allied Health team at Ballarat, on a fixed‑term contract for 12 months. Work alongside our multi‑disciplinary team to provide clinical nutrition and dietetic services to clients/patients using advanced clinical practice skills. You will ensure that the relevant clinical services demonstrate excellence, quality, current evidence‑based practices and maintain the highest level of patient satisfaction and caregiver engagement. The Position Provides direct nutrition and dietetic service to patients/clients and or carers on an individual or group level for both inpatients and/or outpatients at an advanced level. Coordinate the provision of special dietary requirements of patients/clients. Provide consultation and support to medical, nursing, catering and allied health professionals within the Division, and external agencies, as appropriate. Uses expert nutritional knowledge acts as a consultant to the hospital catering service to inform menu development and compliance with the relevant hospital Nutritional standards. Document patients' medical nutrition therapy in the approved manner. Participate in multidisciplinary activities e.g. team meetings, ward rounds, or case conferences, as required. Participate in the delivery of education programmes within the dietetics service and for other caregiver groups. Successful applicants must hold a Tertiary qualification in Dietetics and eligible for full membership with Dietitians Australia (DA).
