Key responsibilities As a Detention Services Manager, you will lead by example and support the development of staff to create a diverse, people focused team to ensure best practice services are provided to all people in our care including staff and detainees. Transport and Escort (prepare paperwork and escort operational orders) Monitoring Detention Service Officers and staff on site Point of contact for day-to-day activities Ensure all incident reports are completed and submitted prior to the cessation of shift Conduct daily checks of journals and logs Conduct daily briefings Collecting all radios, keys and keeping register accurately up to date Key requirements Certificate IV in Security Operations or equivalent 2 years experience in Security, Immigration or Corrections Ability to multi-task Proficient understanding of Microsoft suite Exceptional people skills and ability to negotiate High level written and verbal skills Current First Aid/ CPR Certificate Ability to pass pre-medical checks Proudly promoting a culture of Safety, Respect and Dignity, Secure Journeys instils the BIONIC (Believe It Or Not I Care) philosophy in all our centres.
