Job Description Our IT Auditing team is made up of audit focused people who are all pivotal to the successful delivery of our IT External/Internal Audit engagements for ASX 200 and major organisations. We are dedicated to support the evaluation of our audit clients' IT control environment. The team draws on a diverse and dedicated group of people, powerful KPMG methodologies, innovating capability and assets, and global resources to support our clients in achieving the right milestones. Our focus is helping our clients understand, manage, and oversee their risks, including conduct and regulatory change. Opportunity As a Senior Consultant in the IT Audit team, you will play a key role in delivering technology assurance and advisory projects, coaching and mentoring team members, providing technical knowledge and training, and supporting engagement managers in project management and report preparation to IT management and CIOs. Deliver a variety of Technology Assurance and advisory projects, including internal audit, external audit, attestation, ESG, AI and data analytics. Develop, coach and mentor team members, providing stretch assignments to advance their capability. Provide technical knowledge, direction and training to engagement team members. Support engagement managers in the overall project management of engagements as well as the preparation of clear and concise reports to IT management and CIO’s. Key Qualifications You have a detailed understanding of risk and controls and are able to evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of IT controls on core business processes. You enjoy marrying your strong analytical skills with fantastic technical communication skills to write detailed and accurate reports. You are able to digest, distil, and communicate complex concepts in both written and verbal forms. You are resilient and thrive in a fast-paced environment, where you will be supported to use your initiative to work through competing priorities. You enjoy working in the details, with a proactive attitude towards accuracy and deadlines. Experience & Qualifications Background in external/internal audit and/or risk (ideally with a professional services firm) with a minimum of 2 years' experience. US‑SOX accreditation is desirable. Have gained strong technology risk and controls knowledge. Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of clients and internal stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and share expertise with team members to strengthen capability. A tertiary qualification in a related field (e.g. Accounting, Information Systems, Commerce or other), CA or CISA equivalent or ability to obtain a CA or CISA.
