About The Role Thiess is currently recruiting a Specialist Civil Scheduler based in our Office in Brisbane located in Southbank working on the Eva Copper Mine Project. This role is being offered as a maximum‑term contract of 12‑18 months, providing a great opportunity to be part of an exciting new project Reporting to the Principal Civil Engineer you will provide onsite construction engineering surveillance and management of subcontractors ensuring the safe execution of the Project. Key Responsibilities Prepare schedule data for proposal or contract negotiations Establish and maintain the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty Perform schedule development duties including establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining workflow logic ties and developing the required job expenditure Assist with maintenance of critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics Collaborate with engineering procurement and construction teams to align timelines and resources Monitor project progress, identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies Provide accurate forecasting reporting and performance analysis to stakeholders Support continuous improvement initiatives and planning best practices Develop timely and efficient planning input and analysis for other project reporting tools such as Power BI reports About You Proven experience (5 years) in engineering planning and scheduling on bulk earthworks and infrastructure projects Strong knowledge of planning and project management methodologies Background in large multi‑disciplinary engineering projects where milestone and dependency management are critical Ability to work in a fast‑paced collaborative environment Relevant qualifications in engineering project management or a related field Strong personal computer skills including Primavera P6 and MS Office suite Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey project information to stakeholders Organisational skills with the ability to multi‑task, prioritise, take direction and provide direction to others to ensure the quality of deliverables What Thiess Can Do for You 5 / 2 roster Full camp accommodation provided for site visits Based in Head Office Brisbane Help to grow your career offering diverse and varied opportunities for advancement The flexibility of working within a global mining services provider A range of corporate discounts including health insurance (Medibank), travel & retail products Salary sacrifice options for novated leasing Competitive package with eligibility for annual bonus scheme About Us Thiess works with clients in Australia, Asia and the Americas in the dynamic field of open‑cut and underground mining.
