Walkervale State School – Cleaner Walkervale State School, located in Bundaberg, Queensland, is a vibrant and inclusive primary school serving students from Prep to Year 6. We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to ensure our environment remains safe, clean, and welcoming. Responsibilities Cleaning windows, doors, glass, pictures, fittings, sinks, taps and drinking fountains. Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities and sick bays. Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming classrooms, offices and shared spaces. Dusting furniture, equipment and fans. Removal of cobweb, mildew and graffiti (including use of extendable equipment). Cleaning of concrete, bitumen and paved areas. Vinyl/timber floor care (buffing, stripping and polishing). Hosing designated areas. Safe disposal of rubbish, litter control and clearing drains and gutters. Maintaining and cleaning equipment used in daily duties. Locking/unlocking buildings and activating/disarming security systems as required. Reporting safety, security or maintenance concerns to the Principal/Business Manager. Liaising regarding the purchase or replacement of cleaning resources. Assisting members of the public by directing enquiries to appropriate staff.
