As a Psychologist you would be joining one of Australia's most respected veterans charities, nationally recognised for providing a progressive, integrated support program to rebuild and save lives. The charity offers a holistic approach to veteran health services, specifically through four service streams: Psychological Services, Physical Rehabilitation and Wellbeing Services, Social Connection Activities and Skills for Recovery Programs. Reporting to the Clinical Lead – Psychological Services, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence‑based treatments to clients and their families to address psychological support needs. Your role is to deliver work of a high standard in line with the charity's purpose, vision, and values, managing your own performance and supporting others through the delivery of psychological services. You will have full autonomy to undertake psychological assessments with clients, including children, young people, and families. This opportunity also allows you to design, evaluate, and implement tailored evidence‑based therapies to support positive outcomes for all. Key Responsibilities Provide therapeutic interventions to clients within scope of practice, leadership, vision, and business accountability. Act as a subject‑matter expert to senior management, advising and challenging when necessary to ensure organisational compliance and continued improvement. Support cultural change initiatives through word and action and take active accountability for continuous improvement and innovation. Identify, establish, and maintain key working relationships with all stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of services. Contribute to the development and delivery of the charity's recovery programs, including short‑term residential programs, and act as a subject‑matter expert in the EOI and selection process to determine psychological suitability of clients for programs. Ensure effective communication with referring agencies and clinicians, aligning with best practice and legislative compliance. Provide clinical advice, peer supervision, and debriefing to staff as appropriate. Maintain currency of contemporary practices within the professional field. Support the delivery of relevant psychological services and liaise with external stakeholders to promote the service. Comply with the charity's policies, procedures, and relevant legal and ethical standards, including duty of care, confidentiality, accreditation standards and workplace health and safety. Attend all required meetings, including group and individual clinical supervision led by the National Clinical Manager and the Regional Manager's Family Recovery Centre team. Keep client records and case notes up to date in line with internal and external requirements. Maintain full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA and keep all documentation required, ensuring compliance to timeframes and collaborating with stakeholders for coordination and implementation processes. Adhere to organisational policies and procedures by attending and completing all training and assessments, ensuring WH&S responsibilities are met. Experience and Qualifications Tertiary qualification in Psychology. Full registration with AHPRA. Experience in the treatment and management of mental health concerns, including PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Ability to develop and implement treatment and recovery plans for individuals and families. Well‑developed oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and computer proficiency, including the use of client information management systems. Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating accountability and proficiency in clinical report writing. Open Driver's Licence (advantageous). Direct experience delivering psychological services to current or ex‑serving Defence personnel and their families. Demonstrated clinical skills in delivering evidence‑based treatment to people across the lifespan presenting with a wide variety of presentations. Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
