At dnata catering & retail the sky's truly the limit We are seeking a professional and diligent individual within Brisbane Airport Catering team to step into the role of Operations Leading Hand (Shift Supervisor) and be our Customer Delivery Training specialist, on full‑time basis. So, what does a day in the life of an Operations Leading Hand look like? This role will ensure the delivery of service to all Airline customers in line with operational schedules and safety requirements, while also leading a team of Customer Delivery Drivers whilst on shift. As a member of our Airside team, you are the face of dnata catering out on the tarmac and are responsible for the very important task of correctly loading catering onto the aircraft. To do this, you need to load fully stocked aircraft trolleys onto our hi‑lift trucks and drive a short distance to the aircraft. As our Customer Delivery Trainer, you will take on the duties and responsibilities bestowed on the rare few who uphold the highest of standards and have shown exceptional and consistent performance, to lead and train our CD workforce. In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are: Assist in leading and coordinating the Customer Delivery team. Ensuring that productivity and performance criteria are met in the designated area of responsibility, including completion of regular performance assessments Organising and coordinating work within their area of responsibility; Assist the supervision of catering trucks within a designated work area to ensure they reach and load‑up the aircraft safely and on schedule. Lead by example and perform all the duties of a Driver. Assist in training and inducting team members within the designated work area (Dispatch, Loading Bays, Tarmac, Parking and Onboard Aircraft). Organise and coordinate allocation of work within the CD Team. Perform administrative documentation such as shift reports and rostering. Keep accurate records of training completion reports for all team members in CD. Follow up on any discrepancies and ensure in flight meal loading is correct. Give regular updates on training delivery and completion to CD Manager, and the Corporate Standards and Training team. What do you need to be successful in securing this role? Clean MR or HR Drivers License required. No incidents or accidents recorded on your File. Ability to perform frequent manual handling tasks. Flexibility working around flight schedules is essential. Good verbal and written communication skills. As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required have maintained your Annual Police Check Refresher certificate. Demonstrating hands on leadership, and lead by example at all times. Decision making and organisational skills necessary to efficiently meet performance.
