We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable Part Time Lunch Cover Educators to join our team across our network of Y Kindergartens in Victoria. Whether you’re an experienced educator, newly qualified, or currently studying your Certificate III or Diploma, this is a great opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a supportive, values‑driven environment. Where you’ll work Brandon Park Kindergarten is a warm, community-focused service with a highly regarded intergenerational program that strengthens connections between children and local community. Our brand-new, state-of-the‑art outdoor learning environment provides engaging and inspiring spaces for play and discovery. With a long-standing, dedicated team who are committed to high-quality early childhood practice, we are now seeking a passionate and motivated educator to join us and contribute to our strong, collaborative culture. Tuesday and Thursday – 12:00pm to 2:00pm 4 lunch cover hours per week What You’ll Do Support the teaching team during lunch breaks to maintain a caring, safe environment for all children Assist with daily routines, transitions, and supervision across indoor and outdoor play Engage positively with children, helping create a sense of fun and security Work collaboratively with educators and leaders to uphold the Y’s standards of excellence and inclusion What You’ll Bring Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or actively studying toward this qualification) Reliability, warmth, and a team-focused attitude Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain) A genuine love for children and a commitment to learning and professional growth Why You’ll Love the Y Earn while you learn — gain practical experience while completing your qualification Be part of a welcoming, inclusive team where your contribution matters Flexible shifts that fit around study, family, or other work commitments Supported by Y Ballarat’s strong network of educators and mentors Make a real difference – even in just a few hours a day.
