This is a unique opportunity to work for a large and diversified company of Air Conditioning in the construction and commercial sector. Due to an increase in project numbers and scope, an opportunity has now become available for a Mechanical Engineer to join the team working on various projects around Australia. This role will involve reporting to the construction manager along with managing the mechanical engineering tasks, maintenance planning and execution of works in accordance with budgeting plans. Benefits Attractive salary ($80,000 - $100,000 depending on experience), interesting commercial projects, communicative team, room for growth. Task & responsibilities Tasks and responsibilities include the following: Research, design, fabricate and install mechanical equipment to meet client’s requirements in both large and small projects. Prioritise and efficiently manage all mechanical engineering works for Air Conditioning Project in conjunction with Construction Manager Plan and coordinate the work in an efficient manner which may require liaising with contractors Provide assistance with the budgeting process provide technical support in the preparation of execution plans, method statements and temporary works designs, including supporting calculations to meet project specifications Maintain compliance with legislative and environmental requirements and ensure risk assessments have been utilised Check drawings, designs, materials and equipment for conformity with project specifications Manage the maintenance planning and daily project inquires Serve as a project leader to coordinate efforts of managers, engineers, drafters and manufacturing personnel during all project phases Qualification & experience Skills and Experience requiredBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering minimum 1 year experience in mechanical engineering experience within the Air Conditioning sector. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to manage personnel on-site. Beneficial to have strong project management and planning skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to stay organized and multi-task.
