We specialise in ecommerce, wholesale international inbound parcel delivery in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. Our team is expanding rapidly and we are now seeking a Depot Manager to join the team at our Mansfield depot. This role will oversee both final mile operations and customs clearance functions. You will lead daily operational activities, manage clearance processes, enhance efficiency through automation, and ensure compliance with Australian Border Force (ABF) regulations. This role is critical for maintaining operational excellence, compliance, cost management, and high customer satisfaction. Here’s what you will doing: Key Responsibilities: Final Mile Operational Excellence: Manage efficient sorting, dispatching, and delivery processes, consistently achieving internal SLAs of 98% or higher. Customs Clearance Management: Oversee timely processing and accurate clearance of goods, ensuring strict adherence to ABF regulations and compliance requirements. Automation Oversight: Lead and manage automation initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and accuracy in sorting and clearance processes. Fleet & Driver Management: Recruit, onboard, and develop high-performing driver teams, maintaining a retention rate above 90%. Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure scanning compliance at 98% or higher, implementing rigorous operational guidelines and ABF standards. Safety and Environment: Promote and maintain a safe and compliant working environment, achieving zero significant safety incidents. Cost Management: Control sorting, delivery, and clearance production costs, aligning closely with targeted business accruals and budget forecasts. Continuous Improvement: Utilize operational data and analytics to proactively identify and implement process improvements across final mile and customs clearance operations. Carrier Manager Support: Provide strategic and operational support to Carrier Management, ensuring seamless integration and effective partnership. Staff Rostering & Management: Oversee effective rostering, staffing, and workforce management to meet operational demands. Here’s what your background looks like: Basic Qualifications: Proven management experience in logistics, customs clearance, or operations within a high-volume, regulated environment. Minimum of 2-3 years of management experience in logistics, customs clearance, or operations within a high-volume, regulated environment. Expertise in customs compliance and Australian Border Force regulations. Basic knowledge of customs compliance and Australian Border Force regulations. Demonstrated success in automation and operational technology implementation. Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency. Proven leadership abilities in managing teams, including recruitment, development, and retention. Preferred Qualifications: Experience within final mile logistics and international courier operations. Familiarity with customs clearance software and automation technology. Strong communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships across departments and external stakeholders.
