Brightstar Resources(ASX: BTR) owns and operates the established Second Fortune Gold Mine and the newly launched Fish mine in the Laverton Goldfields region of Western Australia. To support our expanding operations and upcoming projects, we are seeking a Lead Engineer – Studies & Projects to join our rapidly growing team. The role: As a Lead Engineer based in our Subiaco office with regular site travel on an ad hoc basis, you will act as the technical lead for engineering, managing scope, schedule, cost, and risk to ensure alignment with Brightstar’s project and operational objectives. You will coordinate multi-discipline engineering teams, provide technical guidance, and interface with operations and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery, your responsibilities will be as follows: Lead feasibility, FEED, and front-end engineering studies for processing plant and NPI projects. Define scopes and coordinate multi-discipline engineering teams across all project phases. Provide technical leadership for process design, equipment sizing, and optimisation. Oversee procurement, tender evaluation, construction, and commissioning activities. Manage schedule, cost, risk, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and sustainability standards. About you: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering. Professional engineering registration preferred. Highly experienced in project engineering, studies or process plant engineering experience in the mining/mineral processing industry, preferably with gold experience. Strong experience with process plant design and detailed engineering. Demonstrated ability to lead studies and deliverables in the EP phase and transition into construction/commissioning phases.
