Surf Life Saving Australia – Bondi Beach NSW Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) is Australia's leading authority in coastal water safety, drowning prevention, and rescue operations. This role is ideally based in Sydney, NSW, to support regular in‑person collaboration with the Coastal Safety team. (QLD‑based applicants will also be considered for the right skills and experience). Responsibilities Support delivery of national coastal safety strategies and drowning prevention initiatives Assist in improving policies, procedures, systems and operational practices Lead/manage key reporting functions including Lifesaving Statistics (NCSR) and Annual Report data Coordinate review, testing and compliance for lifesaving equipment and gear Support emergency exercises, audits, risk assessments and safety campaigns Coordinate grants programs (BRP Equipment, Beach Safety Equipment Fund, etc.) Liaise with volunteers, state entities, councils, suppliers and internal teams Assist with uniforms, branding compliance and lifesaving content reviews (incl. Kangaroo Beach) Support general admin and represent SLSA on relevant committees This is a varied and purpose‑driven role combining project coordination, safety/compliance, stakeholder engagement and operational support. About you Qualifications (essential) Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor in project management, events, or similar – OR equivalent experience Project management qualifications (desirable) Knowledge & experience Experience volunteering or working for a Surf Life Saving entity (essential) Understanding of SLS philosophies, procedures and programs Experience supporting national programs/projects Knowledge of safety, compliance or risk management Basic financial skills Skills & attributes Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Demonstrated project coordination capability Excellent written communication and attention to detail Strong analytical/problem‑solving capability High proficiency in Microsoft Office Initiative and ability to manage multiple priorities Why work with us? Explain your understanding or experience in risk management, compliance or safety processes, particularly in a lifesaving, emergency services or coastal environment.
