Overview BMT is a leading global consultancy in design, engineering, science and risk management in the maritime sector, known for excellence and innovation. Key Responsibilities Lead the design of coastal infrastructure across Australia including jetties, marinas, wharves, boat ramps, breakwaters, seawalls, revetments and other coastal protection infrastructure. Act as Project Manager for small to large‑scale projects, engaging directly with end clients. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of coastal engineers, mechanical engineers, oceanographers, environmental scientists, naval architects, GIS and approvals specialists. Serve as a technical leader in the maritime structures area, conducting internal reviews and contributing to the development of templates and workflows. Provide leadership and mentoring to less experienced team members. Write proposals and support business development and customer relationship management. About You Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. Minimum of 10 years’ experience post‑graduation. Experience in the design of coastal and maritime structures. Experience working within an engineering/consulting sector, including proposals and direct client management. Relevant registration with a recognised engineering/environmental body (e.g., RPEV, RPEQ) or the ability to obtain one. Unrestricted permanent work rights in Australia.
