Your new role We are seeking a highly motivated and business-minded Senior Finance Officer to join our Finance team to support the CFO and the business. We require an experienced finance professional who is studying towards or has recently completed CPA/CA and has a solid background in Accounts Payable (AP) , Accounts Receivable (AR) , Month End reconciliations and financial reporting . This role creates a clear path toward becoming a commercially minded Finance Manager . You’ll begin by taking ownership of the AP function, gaining a deep understanding of our systems, processes, and business operations. Over time, you’ll rotate through key finance functions, developing your skills across tax compliance, payroll, management reporting, budgeting, and project management — preparing you to grow into a leadership position within the team. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone with strong technical skills, commercial acumen, and the ambition to become a key financial leader and eventual contingency for the CFO. Key Responsibilities: Support the processing of invoices, payments, and other financial transactions. Reconciliation and data entry for company credit cards. Perform reconciliations of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Maintain and update our Preferred Supplier and Subcontractor Registers. Support the business to ensure compliance with relevant policies and update and train when required. Assist in preparing financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets. Help prepare budgets and forecasts for the team. What you'll need to succeed A Bachelor of Commerce/Business. Studying towards or has recently completed CPA/CA. MYOB proficiency – you know your way around the platform A strong understanding of job costing systems . A strong understanding of purchase orders . Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A proactive attitude with the ability to meet deadlines.
