The Aged Care Volunteer Visiting Scheme (ACVVS), funded by the Australian Government, connects volunteers with an older person who is feeling lonely and/or socially isolated, to build friendships and reduce feelings of loneliness. The role In your volunteer role you will be paired with an aging senior to provide them regular social support visits in their home (either living independently or a Residential Aged Care Facility). Activities during your visit are based on yours and your clients interests and could include conversation, playing board games, listening to music or sharing stories.
