With a growing team and a focus on sustainable practices, they are seeking to fill the following role : Field Grafting Specialist and Nursery Supervisor Overview We are mango exporters seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Grafting Specialist and Nursery Supervisor to join our team. This role is pivotal in propagating, improving, and managing our mango tree nursery, ensuring the highest quality of fruit production through expert grafting techniques. Core Responsibilities Field Grafting Specialist Duties : Perform expert grafting and budding on mango trees, particularly Thai-origin cultivars, including Maha Bliss, to improve fruit quality, disease resistance, and consistency. Apply specialised propagation techniques to ensure successful integration of scions and rootstocks. Support ongoing varietal improvement and propagation trials. Nursery Operations Oversight : Manage nursery operations including seed collection, potting, planting, grafting, and repotting. Monitor tree health and implement effective irrigation, fertilisation, and weed control strategies. Conduct regular inspections to identify and mitigate pests and diseases. Maintain nursery inventory to ensure a steady supply of healthy young plants for field production. Train, supervise, and support nursery and field workers. Introduce innovations and improvements to enhance plant health and nursery efficiency. Experience in leading or working within a team in a nursery or similar environment. Demonstrated experience working with Thai or other Asian-origin mango cultivars, including familiarity with their specific propagation, grafting, and cultivation requirements.
