Mechatronic Field Service Engineer

Automation & Robotic Technologies – Penrith NSW As a Mechatronic Field Service Engineer at Automation & Robotic Technologies, you will play a vital role in providing expert technical support and maintenance services for our cutting‑edge industrial automation and robotic systems across New South Wales, and other States in Australia. This full‑time position is based in our Penrith office, with the opportunity to travel to customer sites as needed. What you'll be doing Conduct on‑site diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair of complex mechatronic systems and equipment Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing to ensure optimal performance and reliability Liaise with customers to understand requirements, provide technical advice and recommendations Document all work completed and maintain detailed records of service history Support the implementation of new automation equipment and provide training to customer operators and technicians Work closely with the engineering team to identify opportunities for system improvements What we're looking for Degree in Mechatronic, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline Minimum 3‑5 years' experience as a Mechatronic Field Service Engineer or similar role Proven track record of fault‑finding, diagnostics and repair of industrial automation equipment Strong working knowledge of PLC, HMI, drives and control systems programming Excellent problem‑solving, communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver exceptional service Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to customer sites as required What we offer At Automation & Robotic Technologies, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our team.
