Field Service Engineer (Electrical/Electronic) Location: Sydney (Covering Sydney & NSW) Base pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr About the Company Our client is a well-established technology organisation that designs, installs, and supports specialised electronic systems used across high‑security, industrial, and critical infrastructure environments. Their equipment is deployed nationally across major transport hubs, government facilities, and commercial sites, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and operational efficiency. With continued growth across Australia, they are now seeking experienced Electrical & Electronic Field Service Engineers to support installation, maintenance, and technical service activities across their system portfolio. About the Role The Field Service Engineer will play a key part in ensuring NSW customer sites operate smoothly through high‑quality installation, commissioning, and ongoing service support. You’ll be responsible for preventive and reactive maintenance, system upgrades, electrical/electronic troubleshooting, and providing technical assistance to site personnel. Most work will be based across Sydney and Greater NSW, with occasional interstate travel as required. Participation in an on‑call rotation is also part of the role. Key Responsibilities Install, commission, and service a range of specialised electronic systems Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and respond to urgent breakdowns Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, and control system faults Provide after‑hours standby support as part of a roster Deliver basic operator or technical training when required Conduct site surveys and support project preparation activities Complete service reports, documentation, and compliance paperwork Ensure all work meets internal QA, HSE, and environmental standards Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional onsite service Travel predominantly across Sydney and NSW, with occasional interstate work About You You’re a hands‑on, technically confident engineer with a strong background in electrical or electronic systems, ideally with experience working on complex equipment in field environments. You take ownership, communicate well, and prioritise safe, high‑quality work.
