Business Analyst The Business Analyst operates as an embedded partner within the business, supporting continuous improvement, strategic analysis, and delivery of small-scale initiatives. The role works closely with operational stakeholders to identify challenges, convert them into actionable requirements, and deliver meaningful change outcomes. The position suits a versatile, consultative analyst who is motivated by variety, stakeholder engagement, and hands‑on delivery. Delivery Framework Business analysis is embedded directly within the business, not a heavily agile environment. Success requires an adaptable, relationship‑focused all‑rounder. The analyst should be comfortable working outside tightly defined agile roles and instead support consultative, iterative stakeholder engagement. Core Work Streams IdeationContinuous assessment of operational challenges, inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunitiesExploration and framing of business problems with low‑detail strategic analysisPreparation of directional insights and conceptual statements that can inform future initiatives Assessments & ProposalsShort‑form investigations and option assessmentsDevelopment of concise feasibility statements and proposals to support informed decision‑makingClarification of business value, effort, dependencies, and risks associated with potential initiatives DeliveryExecution of smaller, well‑defined change initiativesTypical delivery cadence: scoped over ~3 months, working at approximately 50% allocation Hands‑on responsibility for:Requirements elicitation and documentationStakeholder analysis and engagementProcess mapping, benefits identification and traceabilityDelivery follow‑through and implementation support Key Responsibilities Build strong working relationships with stakeholders to understand operational challenges, priorities, and pain points Convert business challenges into structured statements, requirements, and benefit cases suitable for prioritisation Analyse and document business processes, workflows, system interactions, roles and hand‑offs Support requirements analysis, validation, traceability, and benefit measurement Assist in evaluating current systems, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and user experience Produce clear, succinct documentation including process maps, business statements, problem definitions, value assessments and delivery artefacts Participate in the planning and delivery of incremental business changes, enhancements and assessments Conduct basic market and options reviews to inform feasibility and solution considerations Manage personal workload, competing priorities and delivery expectations across multiple business stakeholders Share learnings, templates, patterns, and best practices with the broader analyst team Essential Skills & Experience Proven capability across core BA disciplines including: Process mapping and analysis Root‑cause investigation Requirements elicitation and management Stakeholder engagement and mapping Option and benefit assessment Ability to translate ambiguous business challenges into structured artefacts and actionable outcomes Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail Effective written and verbal communication with the ability to engage a broad range of stakeholders Competence in using business analysis, documentation and process mapping tools Ability to self‑manage, prioritise and deliver commitments independently Desirable Experience with structured process mapping (e.g., BPMN 2.0) Familiarity with project methodologies including: Waterfall (e.g., PRINCE2 artefacts) Agile, Scrum or Kanban environments Exposure to cloud, ERP, digital or transformational business programs Formal BA training or certification (Lean, Six Sigma, IIBA, BABOK etc.) Ideal Candidate Profile Variety, ambiguity and moving between business domains Generalist business analysis rather than narrow technical specialisation Investigative thinking, stakeholder problem‑solving and continuous discovery Learning from more experienced team members, gaining breadth and depth of capability Building relationships and influencing outcomes without formal authority #J-18808-Ljbffr
