The project focuses on standardised finance processes and customer self-service, in partnership with the 21 client agencies that consume finance services. Base pay range A$118,064.00/yr - A$126,071.00/yr Queensland Shared Services (QSS) is a shared service provider within the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB), providing corporate transactional and advisory services to more than 73,000 public servants across 42 Queensland Government departments and agencies. QSS is undertaking a Finance Modernisation Program over the next two years, transitioning from SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud using a Greenfield approach. The modernisation journey includes modern services that can be consumed simply, easily and conveniently with a focus on proving services through customer self-service. This project will be a partnership between QSS and the 21 client agencies who consume finance services, to move to more standardised finance processes and embracing new ways of working. Your role As part of the Finance Modernisation upgrade, in-scope agencies are responsible for identifying and addressing second order impacts specific to their operations to support the project’s implementation. As the Senior Business Analyst (Second Order Impacts), you will work with agency representatives to assist in identifying second order impacts and provide advice and coordination around key activities required for the project, ensuring that these activities align with the overall project schedule such as system integration, user acceptance testing and go live cutover. Reporting to the Client Agency Lead, you will work closely with the cross functional teams within the project team in addition to being a central point of contact for agency representatives to undertake their required activities. Your responsibilities Undertake process reviews, business requirements gathering and planning using best practice business analysis methodologies and approaches, and industry knowledge. Provide analysis and options to address identified business transition or improvement initiatives and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Review and provide support to process changes developed or proposed as part of the business transition or improvement activities and work with subject matter experts in a positive and collaborative approach. Analyse business requirements and confirm those requirements are translated into solutions that meet business needs and deliver value to QSS customers. Collaborate with other analysts, solution architects and subject matter experts to contribute to the identification of work packages for business change or transition activities and assist with activities to address issues and risks identified. Provide expert advice and develop briefs and other associated documentation for the delivery of business transition or business improvement activities for QSS managed systems and services. Assist test analysts to complete system, integration and user acceptance testing and associated activities such as defect logging, prioritisation and management within established frameworks, standards, methodologies and policies. Prepare or contribute to the preparation of a range of general documentation and stakeholder communications (e.g. system support material, handover material, fact sheets, staff and customer agencies communications/messages, web updates).
