Pizza shop at Frankston South looking for urgent Pizza chef or cook. Pizza chef is responsible for preparing and baking pizzas, which includes making dough, saucing, and adding toppings according to recipes and customer requests. Key duties involve operating ovens, maintaining a clean and sanitary work area, managing inventory, and sometimes taking customer orders and providing service. They must work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while ensuring food quality and safety standards. Core responsibilities Pizza preparation: Prepare the pizza dough, add sauce, cheeses, and a wide variety of toppings. Baking: Cook pizzas to perfection by operating and monitoring pizza ovens, ensuring correct temperatures and cooking times. Customer orders: Take food and drink orders, process payments, and handle special requests from customers. Food quality: Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of high quality, maintaining consistent measurements and portion control. Hygiene and sanitation: Keep the kitchen, cooking surfaces, and equipment clean and sanitized at all times to meet health and safety standards. Additional duties Inventory and stock: Monitor food stock, manage supplies, unload deliveries, and communicate with a manager when more ingredients are needed. Ingredient preparation: Prepare raw materials for cooking by cutting vegetables and slicing meats. Equipment maintenance: Operate and clean various cooking equipment, including ovens, grills, and mixers. Team collaboration: Work with other kitchen and front‑of‑house staff, following directions from head chefs. Menu support: Assist with preparing other menu items like appetizers and salads, or suggest new recipes. Qualifications and Requirements Applicant must live within 15 km of Frankston.
