About the role We are looking for a Specialist Risk to join our team at Cape Lambert & Dampier. In this role, you will integrate risk management principles into operational decision-making and drive the health of divisional risk governance. You will support leadership to identify and manage risks and opportunities aligned to support strategic, annual, and quarterly planning processes. You will bring alignment to the way we manage risk across our two ports. Reporting to the Manager Operational Excellence, you will: Engage with leaders to embed risk management principles into operational decision-making and core business processes. Maintain and update risk registers, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Identify and manage risks and opportunities to support business objectives and performance. Participate in annual and strategic planning for the site, including risk-based input into business planning cycles. Provide guidance and support on risk governance requirements. Facilitate risk reviews, workshops, and assurance activities. Prepare and present risk-related information for leadership decision-making. Ensure compliance with relevant standards and frameworks, including ISO 31000. Drive alignment between Cape Lambert and Dampier ports in how we manage risk, leverage synergies where possible. What you’ll bring A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team, physical and phycological. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with commercial acumen. Excellent communication and facilitation skills, and strong influencing skills. Understanding of risk management principles and change management. Degree in business, engineering, or related discipline (desirable). Experience in mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry (preferred). Working knowledge of ISO 31000 Risk Management Principles and Guidelines. Respect for others and an all‑inclusive mindset. Desire to positively contribute to team culture. Our integrated operations, which include port facilities, ensure we can supply the right quality product to our customers, when they need it. We blend our products at our own ports, which allows us to produce a reliable and consistent product. And because we have dedicated shipping operations, we are able to better control the delivery of product to our customers.
