Logistics Forecast Officer

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Logistics Forecast Officer is responsible for all forecasting, supply chain communications and ensuring all products are available to all customers at all times. Specific responsibilities relate to maintaining data validity of inventory management software, purchasing, increasing inventory turns, ensuring on time delivery, reducing freight in costs and maintaining inventory validity. The Logistics Forecast Officer is responsible for ensuring Melaleuca is represented in a professional manner according to Melaleuca Policy Guidelines. This role is performed with the ultimate objective of delivering key corporate objectives of: Key Corporate Objectives Increasing Net Preferred Customers Increasing Gross Profit Margin Increasing Inventory Turns Opportunities To work in a vibrant and motivated team environment. To work in a pivotal role with exposure to all other departments. Principal Accountabilities Forecasting Provide monthly 12 month demand forecast for all products from all categories. Provide forecast for all new Product Launches as requested by AUNZ Marketing Team. Provide forecast for all promotions as set out by AUNZ Marketing and Sales Teams. Supply Chain Communications Manage relationships with key internal supply chain staff, including Supply Chain Analyst team in Melaleuca Head Office, Country Manager, Operations Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, Bulk team, Logistics Admin Co-ordinator, Finance, Marketing, Customer Service and Sales. Communicate any potential stock related issues to Operations Manager immediately upon identification. Resolve any stock related issues through effective communication and pro-active response. Inventory Management, Review and Reporting Review and understand all inventory items ensuring all product is available to all customers at all times. Ensure all product is maintain within shelf life and expiry dates. Meet inventory turnover target set out by Operations Manager. Ensure effective inventory run outs of all discontinuing lines, while stocks last and limited time only promotions. Provide Inventory reports as set out by Operations Manager. Understand and utilise Inventory Management System (JDE) Ensure deliveries from relevant suppliers are on time and within cost parameters. Cost Management Manage incoming product Shipments to minimise freight costs and reduce expedites. Minimise scrapping of products. Manage movement, disposal and/or write off of any obsolete or expiring items in inventory Purchasing Manage procurement of specific products from specified local suppliers, within lead times, observing minimum order quantities, costs, maintaining stock availability and meeting inventory turns targets. Alert Operations Manager of any pending stock issues with locally purchased product. Work with ANZ marketing team to determine purchase quantities for all sales aids. Inventory Management Maintenance Maintain and update all bill of material data in Inventory Management System (JDE) Maintain and update safety stock data in Inventory Management System (JDE) #J-18808-Ljbffr
