Clinical Trial Coordinator Closing date: 16 November 2025 We are looking for a Clinical Trial Coordinator to join our small team within the Vasculitis and Lupus Research group. You will lead the set up of our expanding portfolio of CAR T cell and other advanced therapy trials in collaboration with the cell‑therapy team, and assist with setting up both CUH‑sponsored and commercial trials within the group. Your day‑to‑day job will involve working closely with the other Trial Coordinators and liaising with medical staff, pharmacists, statisticians and data managers involved in Vasculitis trials. You will interact closely with Chief Investigators and Sponsors. The post is currently funded for 2 years, but extensions are likely subject to funding. This post is mostly office‑based, but following a satisfactory probationary period you may be offered flexibility to work remotely for up to 2 days per week. Main duties of the job Set‑up and coordination of CAR T cell and other advanced therapy trials; working closely with the cell‑therapy team. Set‑up and coordination of CUH-sponsored CTIMP trials. Set‑up and coordination of commercial CTIMP and non‑CTIMP trials. Ensure that all research undertaken safeguards the well‑being of patients and volunteers and is conducted within ICH Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (GCP), in line with Research Governance and compliance with the Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) Regulations 2004. Person Specification Qualifications Science graduate or equivalent level of knowledge and experience Recent ICH GCP Training Evidence of postgraduate training in relevant field, and/or continuous professional development in relevant fields Experience Experience of working in a clinical research/healthcare environment Experience of working in an ICH GCP/EU Clinical Trial Directive environment Experience with databases Experience in using MACRO or REDCap databases Knowledge In‑depth knowledge of the requirements of clinical trials during their life cycle from set‑up to close out Knowledge and understanding of CAR T cell therapy Ability to present data in a clear, simple format Ability to use Microsoft Office to an advanced level Competence in using the internet and email Knowledge of the clinical trials regulatory framework Clinical trials terminology and essential documentation Knowledge of the clinical trials regulatory framework An understanding of the clinical research approval process in the NHS Skills Excellent administrative skills including organising and planning Excellent communication and writing skills Excellent attention to detail Helpful, outgoing team worker Excellent interpersonal, professional and motivational skills with the ability to build working relationships with internal and external departmental and Trust colleagues Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and seek input where necessary Ability to work independently with initiative and motivate self and others Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to negotiate, acting in a tactful and confident manner to achieve the desired results Additional Requirements The ability to understand and behave at all times, towards patients, visitors and colleagues according to the Trust values of Safe, Kind, Excellent.
