Senior Resident Medical Officer – Medical Oncology The Senior Resident Medical Officer is responsible for supporting Staff Specialist Medical Oncologists with patient care (in and out patient) and patient related administrative matters. The Calvary Mater Newcastle – Medical Oncology Unit is one of the busiest adult cancer treatment facilities in NSW for medical oncology consultations and treatments with intravenous chemotherapy, immunotherapy and hormonal therapy for all types of cancers. This department is supported by large clinical trials facility, enabling patients to access trials of new medicines before they are widely available. Demonstrated experience at Resident Medical Officer level (or higher) with the knowledge and ability to use own initiative and discretion under supervision. Satisfactory to excellent report of clinical performance from the Supervisor of Training or delegate.
