Overview Join to apply for the Lawyer / Senior Associate - Banking & Finance role at Clayton Utz . We are currently recruiting for a talented senior lawyer or senior associate to our leading Banking & Finance team in Sydney. You will work closely with partner Graeme Tucker and other partners and senior practitioners across our Transactions group on a diverse range of complex matters spanning corporate, structured and asset-based financing transactions, as well as restructuring and special situations. You will act for a variety of lenders and financiers including commercial and investment banks, credit funds and other institutional financial services entities. You will lead transactions with significant client exposure and have the opportunity to mentor junior lawyers and contribute to their development. Responsibilities Lead transactions in Banking & Finance, acting for lenders and financiers including banks, credit funds and other institutional financial services entities. Collaborate with partners and senior practitioners across the Transactions group on complex matters (corporate, structured and asset-based financing, restructuring, and special situations). Manage matters with autonomy and efficiency, including significant client exposure. Mentor junior lawyers, contributing to their development and shaping the practice. Qualifications 4+ years legal practice experience, gained within a reputable Banking & Finance practice at a reputable commercial law firm. Demonstrated experience with corporate or structured financing (lender side). Some experience with, or a desire to learn, front-end restructuring would be highly regarded. Strong academic performance. Strong project management skills and the ability to run matters with autonomy and efficiency. Ability and willingness to mentor graduates and junior team members.
