The Role: Gardener/Horticulturist (General Team Member) As a Gardener/Horticulturist, you will be an essential, hands‑on member of our team, maintaining and enhancing beautiful gardens and landscapes on residential, strata, and commercial sites. Key Responsibilities Perform high-quality garden maintenance tasks, including pruning, weeding, hedging, mulching, planting, and pest/disease management. Operate and maintain a variety of horticultural machinery and equipment safely. Communicate effectively with your team and management. Assist in general upkeep and cleanliness of work areas and equipment. Ensure high standards of safety and quality are maintained on every job. Maintain excellent physical fitness and stamina to perform very demanding manual gardening tasks throughout the working day. What We Offer Competitive casual pay: $30 – $40/hr (includes 25% casual loading). Approx. 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays. Overtime opportunities available for those who desire extra hours. Reliable, set shifts with early finish Fridays Work shirts, PPE, and boots supplied and replaced as needed. Fun end-of-year social event. Paid training opportunities including First Aid, ChemCert (Chemical Accreditation), and Chainsaw Operation. Variety of rewarding work locations across the North Shore. What We’re Looking For Minimum 1 year’s hands‑on experience in horticulture or garden maintenance. A driver's license is beneficial but not essential. A positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic. Ability to travel reliably to the designated team meeting point each day. Relevant horticulture qualifications (Certificate II/III) a plus but not essential. Permanent, unrestricted work rights in Australia. #J-18808-Ljbffr
