Your Vital Role: Maximising Local Market Revenue As the Local Sales Executive, you will be the primary representative of the CaPTA Group including Wildlife Habitat within the local tourism sector, driving sales through strategic outreach and exceptional relationship management. Sales Generation & Business Development: Conduct regular, strategically planned sales calls to local hotels, tour desks, and operators to actively generate and secure business for all CaPTA Group products including Wildlife Habitat, Port Douglas. Proactively identify and convert new business opportunities. Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, professional relationships with existing clients through consistent communication and proactive account management. Act as the primary point of contact for local stakeholders. Market Analysis & Reporting: Stay consistently up-to-date with local market trends and competitor activities, providing timely and accurate reports to management on sales performance and market intelligence. Cross-Collaboration: Coordinate and conduct familiarisation tours and site inspections, and effectively collaborate with operational staff across all sites to ensure seamless service delivery and maximise cross-selling opportunities. The Ideal Candidate We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starter with established credibility and experience in the Far North Queensland tourism sector. Skills & Experience Proven experience (2+ years ) in a sales role is desirable , preferably within the local tourism or hospitality industry in the Cairns/Port Douglas market. Strong understanding of the local tourism landscape , key stakeholders, and distribution channels. Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets . Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with strong presentation abilities. Self‑motivated, proactive, and results‑oriented with strong organisational skills. Proficiency in using CRM systems and standard office software. Driver's Licence: A Current and Valid Queensland Driver's Licence is required for this role due to the necessary travel between Cairns and Port Douglas. Availability Flexible to work a 7-day roster, including weekends, public holidays, and school holidays. Ability to comply with our Drug and Alcohol Policy. Permanent residency in Australia. For this role, successful candidates will be required to obtain a Working with Children: Blue Card .
