Job Description Youth Worker 2 (Position is in Australia) Position Title : Youth Worker 2 (Australia) Annual Salary : $95,380 Employment Type : Full Time Position Reports To : Case Manager Current Areas : Bunbury, Cairns, Perth South / Peel, Toowoomba and Townsville Required Weekly Hours : Average 38 shift hours and 2 sleepovers per week (averaged over 12 weeks). Overtime is managed by an hour bank system which can be paid out or taken as time back depending on the needs of the Area. Shift Patterns : Shift-based role supporting the needs of the YP. Shifts primarily 24 hours, broken into 16 hours + 1 sleepover (8 hours). Standard rostering: 5 x 24‑hour shifts fortnightly, averaged over 84 days. Support shifts may occur depending on YP needs. Model of Care The care model can vary: 1:1 or 1 staff with 2 YP, aligning with the department needs and integrated framework. Minimum 2 years’ experience with children and YP exhibiting extreme challenging and pain‑based behaviours in residential or health/social settings within the last 5 years. Experience working one‑on‑one with such YP, ideally residential. Completed and hold a degree level qualification desirable; minimum Level 4 diploma acceptable. Ability to do shift work (~5 shifts fortnightly) and sleeping over; shift patterns flexible. Full UK or Republic of Ireland driver’s license for at least 12 months. Capable of obtaining international police checks and required state checks for employment in Australia. Can obtain VISA requirements and forthcoming sponsorship for PR via SID 482.
