Fire Protection Draftsperson (Trainee Position) Industry Experience Required: None (full training provided) Are you looking to start a rewarding career in a specialised and growing industry? We’re seeking a motivated Trainee Fire Protection Draftsperson to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for design, problem-solving, or technical drawing, who is eager to learn and develop new skills. About the Role As a Trainee Draftsperson, you will learn how to create detailed technical drawings centered around fire sprinklers and their pump and tank infrastructure. You’ll work closely with senior designers, project managers, and installers to support real-world construction projects from concept through to completion. This role is perfect for someone with design, or construction interests — no previous experience in the fire industry is required . We’ll provide all training and mentoring to help you succeed. Key Responsibilities Design Drawings: Use AutoCAD to produce accurate technical documentation for fire sprinkler systems Construction Drawings: Develop complete and coordinated drawings ready for fabrication and site installation Work with senior designers to develop compliant and detailed designs Learn relevant Australian Standards and industry codes (training provided) Support project coordination and documentation as needed What We’re Looking For Experience with AutoCADand drafting (required) Willingness and enthusiasm to learn the fire protection industry Ability to interpret architectural and engineering plans Experience with Project Management (not required, but very helpful) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good communication and teamwork skills Interest in design, or the construction industry Ability to follow instructions and apply feedback What We Offer Full on-the-job training and long‑term career development Opportunity to gain specialised skills in a high‑demand industry Supportive team environment with experienced mentors #J-18808-Ljbffr
