Due to continued growth, we are seeking the long-term employment of a Portable Fire Tester to join our expanding South-East Queensland team. The position is suited to a service technician who is serious about growth and developing their career. Duties and Responsibilities Working both autonomously and within a tight-knit team, the Portable Fire Tester is supported by administrative and trades persons to carry out work on a wide variety of fire extinguisher, fire blanket and fire hose reel assets. Key to the role is maintaining ARA Fire's excellent service to our customers throughout Queensland. The ideal candidate will : Install and maintain portable firefighting appliances, fire hose reel systems, and fire hydrant systems in accordance with QBCC licence requirements. Have knowledge & understanding of relevant Australian Standards for the products being installed / repaired. Be committed to the overall profitability and growth of ARA Fire through interaction with the various divisions and its people. Have the ability to plan and manage portable fire asset service jobs. Excel with customer correspondence. The successful applicant may have the opportunity to be trained in other facets of the Fire business so that you can become a well-rounded fire maintenance, fault-finding and repairs technician. Position pre-requisite : QBCC Fire Protection – Portable – Install and licence class Strong hand and power tool capability Microsoft Office suite overall ability Strong personal interaction on a client basis This is an outstanding opportunity to join a national fire protection company with a strong service background.
