We are seeking an enthusiastic Breaks Cover Educator to join our team at Altona Kindergarten and Somers Parade Kindergarten . Somers Parade Kindergarten offers a safe, supportive and stimulating environment where children are given every opportunity to explore, learn and reach their full potential. The setting is caring, welcoming and centred around creating meaningful learning experiences with plenty of fun. Altona Kindergarten recognises the importance of the early years and provides a nurturing, engaging environment that supports children’s confidence, imagination and respect for others and the natural world. The kindergarten embraces the diverse backgrounds of its families, incorporating cultural learning and celebrations throughout its programs. This is an ongoing part‑time role, working 20 hours per week from Monday to Friday. About you You’re reflective, curious and purpose‑led, with a deep commitment to making a difference. You’re open to learning and understanding the unique needs of every child. You’re a critical thinker and collaborative team member. You have a drive to grow and improve continually. You value kindness and respect. You have great knowledge of the child‑safe standards and early childhood regulations. You hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent, a WWCC, mandatory reporting certificate, police check and a first aid certificate. About the role You’ll create a supportive environment where children are safeguarded to learn and grow. You’ll develop and implement engaging learning experiences based on the ECMS pedagogical framework. You’ll build strong relationships with children, families, the community and colleagues.
