This is a fixed term (funded role for 10 months), part time position, 30.4 hours per fortnight (0.4 FTE) within the Neonatal Department.

You will be responsible for undertaking comprehensive assessments of children who were cared for on the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and are invited back to the Neonatal Neurodevelopmental Follow‐Up Service.

You will also be required to support the Senior Clinical Neuropsychologists in supervising post-graduate trainees undertaking placements within the neuropsychology team but will not be required to take primary responsibility for providing this supervision.Classification for this position is Grade 2 Year 1 – Year 4 (PK1 – PK4) (base salary plus superannuation as per EBA).What you’ll achieve:

• Purposefully and expertly engage children and their families.• Undertake specialised assessment of children presenting to the Neonatal Neurodevelopmental Follow‐Up Service• Prepare psychological reports, and provide effective verbal and written feedback to referrers, patients, and others, as appropriate.• Liaise with other RCH units and external organisations regarding implications of assessments.• Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, including Allied Health, the patient’s medical team and wider system to provide consistent, integrated, and holistic care.Your skills and experience:• Completion of an accredited Master or Doctoral program in Clinical Neuropsychology, recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia.• Hold general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (Board)• Hold an Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology with the Psychology Board of Australia• Experience in clinical practice in paediatric clinical neuropsychology.• Ability to function independently as a Clinical Neuropsychologist and to provide a range of Clinical Neuropsychology services.• Continuously satisfy the Psychology Board of Australia continuing professional development standards• Uphold the Psychology Board of Australia Code of EthicsIf this sounds like you click

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides care for the sickest babies and infants from Victoria, interstate and overseas.
