Generate distinctive video and stills content for broadcast and digital news and provide field production support
The RoleABC News are looking for an experienced Operations Specialist (TV) to collaborate with Producers and Journalists to edit video content for news and current affairs at an advanced level to an integrated program brief. Based in Darwin you will also manage the daily media requirements for the Darwin newsroom.The Job
Initiate video concepts and meet deadlines
Edit news and long-form content for broadcast and social media
Contribute to editorial planning and daily news delivery.
Collaborate with the News leadership team and accept feedback.
Stay informed on news events for creative content ideas.
Plan for events and generate content ideas and adapt to digital trends and new technologies.
Create stories reflecting Australia’s cultural and socio-economic diversity.
Position Description: 504480 MULTISKILLED OPERATOR, EDITOR, MEDIA COORDINATOR.pdfAbout YouYou will have highly advanced experience with video editing and media management in a professional News environment, and experience producing video for online and mobile platforms. Experience with Grass Valley Edius editing software preferred but not essential.You'll have:
Relevant qualifications or equivalent skills and experience.
Strong understanding of TV production and broadcast technologies.
Able to work independently and collaboratively under pressure.
Willing to work rotating shifts and adapt to changes.
Produce content that follows editorial policies.
Strong communication skills; team-oriented.
Passion for diverse storytelling reflecting Australia.
Proven ability to maintain community contacts.
