Long-established Australian manufacturer and importer of heavy-duty equipment is seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to drive growth across national civil, construction, and infrastructure markets. Operating at the technical and commercial front line, you'll identify new business opportunities, strengthen key relationships, and lead sales growth for an innovative range of engineered products and aftermarket services. This position reports directly to the Managing Director and carries responsibility for managing key accounts, driving tenders and proposals, and contributing to strategic planning and sales leadership within a small, high‑performing team. Key Responsibilities Identify and secure new revenue streams across construction, concrete, foundation, and related sectors. Manage existing client relationships, ensuring retention and repeat business. Analyse markets, competitors, and customer needs to identify opportunities for new products or service offerings. Develop sales forecasts, budgets, and KPIs to align with strategic growth targets. Collaborate with engineering, logistics, and service departments to deliver customer solutions efficiently. Represent the company at trade shows, client demonstrations, and networking events. What You’ll Bring Minimum 5 years' experience in B2B business development or technical sales within industrial, construction, or heavy‑equipment sectors. Proven track record in achieving and exceeding revenue targets. Strong commercial acumen and experience managing complex customer accounts. Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a genuine customer‑first approach. Strategic mindset—able to plan territory growth, analyse markets, and convert opportunities.
