Be part of a project that drives innovation, strengthens safety, and connects with global experts The opportunity The Research Assistant will work in the Spine Stream of the Children’s Orthopaedic Research group (CORe) at Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI) as part of a team making a real difference to children’s lives. The position will support groundbreaking research and quality initiatives for paediatric spinal surgery at the Royal Children’s Hospital, contributing directly to a registry that monitors long‑term outcomes and improves care worldwide. What you’ll do Patient enrolment into spinal surgery registry including obtaining informed consent for parent/guardian and clinical data collection and patient surveys Real‑time data entry into local database and REDCap spine surgery registry, including image de‑identification and image transfer to partner organisations Ensure data entry accuracy and efficient collation in keeping with study protocols Managing Human Research Ethics Committee status updates, reporting and amendments as required Assist and contribute to data generation for research and publications What you’ll bring Degree/Honours/Masters qualification in Science or related discipline Appropriate level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation Demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Excellent time management, organisational and analytical problem‑solving skills Experience with data entry and collation, including use of REDCap data management Any questions?
