About the role We are seeking a motivated, talented and vibrant Commis Chef to bring high standards and creativity to Yamagen. The ideal candidate will have a team-first attitude, a passion for culinary excellence, and the drive to succeed in this dynamic industry. We are looking for a dedicated professional who would embrace the opportunity to work for Australia’s leading designer hotel brand. Key responsibilities Prepare and produce dishes to the highest standards. Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure an efficient kitchen environment. Anticipate and attend to our guests\' needs to ensure an incredible experience. Ordering and general administration. Work in the kitchen as directed on a daily basis. Ensure that your work is carried out in a timely and efficient fashion. Maintain a clean and safe working area at all times. Ensure that the established standard operating procedures are followed at all times. Help produce an environment of learning and professionalism. Carry out any other related duties as directed by senior kitchen staff. Maintain a harmonious relationship with other members of the service team. Maintain a high degree of knowledge with regard to food products. Have full knowledge of, and practice all of the hotel’s established workplace health and safety guidelines (WH&S).
