Support Worker – Evergreen Support Services About the Role Evergreen Support Services is seeking compassionate, motivated, and empathetic Support Workers to join our dedicated team. You will play a vital role in providing care and assistance to clients with diverse needs, helping them achieve their personal goals and maintain a positive daily routine. For this particular family, we are seeking Support Workers who lead an active lifestyle and have a genuine interest in supporting early-teen participants . The family is currently experiencing high levels of stress, so your role will focus on providing structured, consistent, and caring support to help the children regulate emotions, manage transitions, and prepare for school each day. Purpose-Driven: A passion for empowering clients and delivering exceptional, person-centred service. Key Responsibilities Assist with morning school transitions and emotional regulation routines. Support transportation to and from school or medical appointments. Provide social and community access support (e.g., social outings, shopping). Offer domestic assistance , including light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation. Deliver emotional and social support , building positive and trusting relationships. Implement and reinforce co-regulation strategies to promote calm and focus. Work collaboratively as part of a team (2:3 support worker to participant ratio) to ensure consistent care and communication. Shift Times Morning Shifts Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM Afternoon Shifts Monday to Friday: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM Applicants must be available for at least two mornings and two afternoons per week . Requirements Certificate III in Individual Support (or relevant qualification). Current First Aid and CPR certification. Reliable vehicle and current QLD Driver’s Licence . Full comprehensive car insurance. National Police Check (within 6 months or willing to obtain). Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain). Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Modules prior to commencement. Desirable Skills & Experience Mental Health First Aid certification. Experience supporting individuals with Level 2 Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) . Familiarity with co-regulation techniques and trauma-informed care. Experience with supporting teenage development.
